I'm having fun with Sapphire!

I'm soooooo  glad that my mom brought Sapphire back in for my guide dog.  It wasn't her fault that she hadn't been on a leash for such a long time, a little more leash work for both of us,  and mom said I can go back to bing coupled on the same leash as Sapphire soon, that she jumped the gun the first time and expected immeadiate success with the first try.  Then when my niece Pogo was brought in to replace Sapphire, I let mom know that I really wanted her to give Sapphire another chance, even though Pogo did better with the leash thing....

Sapphire stays with me all over the house.  It's fun to follow her because it saves the worry about getting stuck in some corner.  We lay together on the big pillow in the living room and Sapphire preens me, oh it feels so good!  Mom brought my crate into the living room and she mostly leaves the door open so I can go in and out.  Mom says she is so proud of me for being so brave and doing so well, heck!  What did she expect!  I'm her sweet baby girl and I didn't get that way being stupid!  Mom is on to me though, I keep hearing her say she has to let me be a dog and that she can't coddle me, or I'll never learn how to adjust.  I guess she knows best!  I am so lucky to have such a smart loving mom!!!

Here is me and Sapphire this afternoon, Sapphire is taking good care of me!

Yes, well...mom just said to tell you that she knows Sapphire needs to go on a diet but that will be easy now that she is living with me.   Sapphire has the softest coat, and she is so soft and cuddly!  I just love my baby girl, she takes such good care of me!!!
