Finally a warm day!

I saw 78 degrees today for the first time in well over 6 months!  It felt so great!  I was in downtown Duluth when I saw this guy on a tall bicycle.  it was fun watching him at red lights! It was tricky trying to take the photo and drive too and not run over him, lol...

The nice weather will not last, however.   Tomorow we are supposed to get 3 inches of rain and then it might snow on the weekend.  It was great while it lasted!

How the heck do you mount that bike? YIKES. I would kill myself for sure and I've got a lot of miles on a bicycle under my seat :) (Years ago took a 3 week self supported...no sag wagon....trip to France/Germany and Luxemburg. It was fun but one of my kness has never been the same. Those damn big uphills in the Black Forest are what did it; even with low gearing. Oh well. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Hi Pam, isn't it wild! I wished I had my camera when he was at the red light and then had to get back up when the light turned green, he made it look efforless! Oh to be young and spry again, lol! My cousn had a bicycle like that when we were young and he fell and ended up in the hospital with a steel plate in his head.

A bicycle adventure sounds like so much fun! If you would like to read about some great bicycle adventures I subscribe to a newsletter put out by a fellow beader and her family. They take long excursions, one being from California through New Nexio and down into Mexico and across southrn US one winter. it was a compelling read. They are planning another journey now! They journal along the way and post the stories and photos whenever they get to a computer which is pretty often! here is the address...

Interesting family. Don't care for tandem bikes though. I don't like always looking at someone's back and you have absolutely no control if you aren't the lead.....kind of like mushing dogs; unless you're in front the view is always the same. I signed up for their newsletter. Quite an undertaking, this adventure they have planned....with their dog! Wow.
