BEADED HERON

So I was driving over what some of us still call the High Bridge a couple of weeks ago, although it has since been named the Blatnic bridge,  and Mn Dot had another inspection going on.  Probably the 3rd or so inspection since the fall of the I 35 bridge in Mpls.  It seems the designs are similar.  Well, now that they have the Mpls bridge demise blamed on gusset plates...they find that our bridge needs new gusset plates too. 16 of them. Now half of the bridge is closed down to one lane each way for the next month and some.  Hmm...along with the construction equipment and the extra cars because of the lane closure I'm thinking I might be taking the Bong bridge across for awhile.  I was bored the morning I came across the inspection so I snapped this photo...
