Busy season!

I am on the go and always with my camera taking photos but where is the time to post them?  By the end of the day I am dog tired and coffee is the last thing I'd do since i love my sleep.  I have some shots from around the yard today though...

 Poppy's are blooming!

The bugs are horrific this summer after all of the spring rains.  The mosquito's are especially fierce which makes dousing ones self in deep woods off to go out and play a necessity.  I have the electric bug zapper out for the first time in years.  I am not really a fan of these things as they kill the good bugs as well, but I have it hanging on the kennel building for the dogs.

The light attracts moths, which hang around all day now.  I don't care for moths as a rule but some of them are beautiful!

This a Columbian silk moth

Isn't he something!  And here he is unfolded!

These big moths don't seem to get hurt by the zapper unit as there is a cage around the light so bigger fliers don't get zapped as a rule.

Another moth that it attracts is this beautiful Luna Moth!   You can read about Luna Moths here and find out that they only live a week!  They are rare and I have not seen many here in Wsiconsin but I used to have quite a few in Minnesota when I lived on the lake!

If I find any more unusual critters out there you will be sure to her about it and see them!
