Sam is a friend to many people over the world who made annual treks to his place for the annual donkey races, the full moon parties in the bat cave, and just for the fun of it.

Of course we pray for the safe return of him and his companion but it isn't looking good. Please keep them in your prayers.

I aso enjoy spotting them on the side of the road, in which case I'll stop and turn around, and go back and take in the wonder of them.

I spotted this lovely specimen on the side of the road this afternoon. It is quite huge at probably around 8 inches tall.

With rain forecast for the next coupe of days, I'm hoping to see more mushrooms pop up. I don't eat them or anything, but I just love to look at them and shoot photos!

This old birch tree has seen better days. It is but a shell now after the woodpeckers had a time with it
