During a routine office exam, my GP mentioned the thing growing near the corner of my eye and had his nurse make an appointment for me at a dermatologist in the Duluth Clinic. 

The earliest appointment available was in February of 2009 so I had a bit of a wait, but now the pressure was off to call the number on the card I was given a year ago.   

I finally had an appointment that was months away.  so of course...

I really wasn't thinking about it (much).
